About

About Me
The reason I became a counsellor was because of my own journey into therapy as a client in my early 20s. I didn't know what to expect but I knew I needed help in making sense of my feelings and that I was in a lot of emotional confusion and pain. It was the beginning of change and learning more about the reason for my feelings, the impact of my upbringing, family dynamics, my relationships and so much more.
I have always been interested in human psychology and am passionate about my clients finding answers, solutions and for them to lead a better and happier life.
My background before training as a therapist was working in media creatively and before that working in the corporate world. It has given me an insight into many different life/work cultures, systems and most of all an experience of working with people of all walks of life.
Qualifications:
I completed a BA Hons in Person-centred counselling through Middlesex University and a Diploma in Person-centred counselling at Metanoia Institute in Ealing. My foundation is as a person-centred therapist but I draw from other modalities (such as TA, CBT and NLP) and my coaching experience within my work.
I am a qualified Mental Health Assessor through Metanoia Institute where I would access clients for their MCPS (Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service) service.
Professional memberships held:
I am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and adhere to their code of ethics.
